By Advocates, For Advocates
The practice of law is most effective when we stop reinventing the wheel. Our community is blessed to be able to serve Veterans—and we have so many talented people around us that help do that. This library was created to serve as a collective brain for our community—a central hub where we can share templates, case law, VA memorandums, research memos, and medical literature. That help us all advocate more effectively for our clients, the greatest America has to offer.
Using the Library
The library has three main search types. A simple search will look for text within a document. So, keywords only, like “burn pits,” or “jurisdiction.” Looking for more? Dig Deeper. This function uses AI to provide additional documents that may be more relevant to your search. You can also ask questions, “Were there burn pits in Africa?” An Advanced Search allows you to narrow your search criteria. For example, only documents with the words “Agent Orange” and “leukemia.”
Uploading Documents to Share
Redact Everything: Ensure all documents are completely scrubbed of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and private client data. This includes names, social security numbers, specific addresses, and sensitive case details.
To upload documents, click “Admin.”
Limitations?
Keep in mind, the library is limited to the documents that we as a community add to it. If you aren’t finding something, it is likely because no one has added it yet, so get to uploading and supporting the library!
Free to Use?
There is no cost for you to use the library. However, there are monthly expenses associated with maintaining this library. The more it gets used, the more that costs (which, that is a good thing). Our intention is to keep the library open, free of charge, as long as it is feasible to do so. To help us out, we will gladly accept any donations!
